This morning while my husband was filling the bird feeders, he thought he saw a visiting cat. He went to shoo it away and this is what he saw: Yes, we have a grey fox in the neighborhood! Yesterday morning there was a doe by the hanging bird feeder, right next to the backyard fence. We're thinking of applying for wildlife refuge status and charging admission (to humans, not four-footed critters).
What a lovely pic of that illusive fox. It is a lovely animal actually. Good luck with your economic adventure.
Sjoerd, not such a lovely animal when it growls at you! My practical husband grabbed our calico cat (who is NOT practical) and beat a retreat to the porch. I"m all for having fox in the area, just not in the back yard!
Lovely photo ... I've never seen a grey fox, we only have the red ones. I love the foxes, but I probably wouldn't if I had cats or chickens outside!
