Demolished Part of the deck. it was an odd triangular section of the deck, which was used for stairs to get on the elevated deck for the above ground pool. when we bought there was no more pool but still all this decking to accommodate for the pool, and now that's all gone!

Then I rebuilt the railing, not the best craftsmanship but solid gets the job done.

Then I added a 1 step stair and threw down some stone.

This is where I will have my 3 sisters garden ( corn + beans + cucumber ), I'm going pull out the fern and that section will be also part of the 3 sisters garden.
I hope the corn can grow tall enough to hide the back yard and act as a room divider.
On the right-hand side there 2 big beams, this is leftover from the elevated deck that I demo'ed earlier this year, the plan for that is to use the beams as the main supports for a greenhouse.
I was hoping to get its all done in the spring, so the garden could all be "done", but I was to busy with other things.

You are making good progress Adam. Big improvement to have that odd bit of leftover decking gone.

did some work on the greenhouse. I think once I'm all done building the garden, it'll be winter! :D next year it's going to look so good!
also, picked a hand full of beans peas and parsley.
also, re-placed my trap in a different spot with some lettuce and mango hopefully the sweet smell of lettuce gets him in the cage.

Edit: OPS typos made that unreadable sorry.

I watered and harvested and strimmed until midday. This afternoon I will try to lay 500 m of hosepipe in the forest.

truth. "rehoming" them is far worse than shooting them. they either starve to death or "fight" to death trying to establish a new territory.

Good Morning, on my way out to work, I noticed a few okra and noodle beans that I will have to pick when i get home...weeding can wait until tomorrow. I sowed second round in cups of cucs; tomotoes: sungold, mountain gold & purple russian; and lacinto kale 2 Sundays ago and they are working on their second and third set of leaves...time to plant. Will probably order patty pan squash...so cute on vids.

during the past few days, I got some more work done on the greenhouse. for now, it's just a big shelf ( and I still need to hammer in a few more nails) but for now, this shelf is useful as it is, later ill add another higher shelf and add a roof and wrap it up in plastic (probably next spring).

also, the kids helped me make some more cat toys, with the catnip. the boys will bring their toys to there moms house, and the other cat toys are to be given to friends.

my neighbor gave my GF a lift to work the other day, and started to question her about my garden, he's thinking about making a garden too but doesn't know how to go about it. I'll have to go over there see what he has to work with and just tell him the secret, plant seeds in good dirt and wait!

My husband and daughter helped me to weed my community garden plot, weed whack my section of the perimeter fence & harvest as many of the veggies as were ready. We harvested a bushel of onions, a mess of garlic, a passle of beets, a bunch of shell beans & some carrots + zucchini bats!!
The onions, shell beans & garlic are now curing in our basement (we have a dehumidifier there). You can guess how our basement smells now! It reeks!!! IMG_20190728_144923.jpg IMG_20190728_144907.jpg IMG_20190728_144900.jpg IMG_20190728_144853.jpg

Our daughter took the beets, carrots & zucchini. She'll figure out how to freeze them all.

Definitely a good day in the garden!

Man! I go out to prune my plants of dying or diseased leaves/branches and it's an all day job. I try to do it once or twice a week but could easily do it daily.

The cherry tomatoes and peppers are still going strong so I try to donate what I can't eat.
