Harvested more basil early this morning before the heat got to it and made basil red wine vinegar. Other than that, like Netty I watered, and watered some more!

In the garden? What is that like in August?? Between that evil day star in the sky and the mosquitoes my time in the garden is short and seldom. Maybe sometime in late Sept I will be back out there for longer than just pouring more peanuts into the bird/squirrel feeder bowl on the fence in front of the living room window....putting it there gives Wizard many hours of entertainment. At least someone in the family enjoys what is going on outside.

Looked at it, saw it needed watering, sighed and went to sit down.

    The struggle is real...

I call it the struggle buggy here. It is real. sometimes we are so overwhelmed at the things that need done even though the things have nothing to do with the stress. Hope you feel better soon.

Done nothing at all in the garden for ages. Too busy working in the house and it has been raining.

planted some peas and beans from cups into the garden.and doing daily harvest of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas and beans. and tonight, I'm going to made pesto again! last weekend I harvested all the coriander seeds.

learned a lot this year, the garden is doing well, but there's alot of room for improvement. next year I will expand the garden and attempt to not have any "dead spots" there's a lot of spots where some plants didn't do well or there just was nothing planted there, or like the catnip is long gone but I never planted anything in its place. which reminds me, I wanted to plant radishes everywhere I see a "dead spot", maybe tomorrow.

Two days of slinging the honey out of the comb...what graft that was. Pshew!
Today I will return to the lottie with all those empty frames to let the bees lick them dry. It is also time for the 10 day check...it all comes out good--except for the intermittent rain.

Fertilized the garden and watered this am. Tonight I will harvest some cayenne peppers to take to my boss as he thought the habanero was way too much spice.

Got to keep the boss happy lol

Spent most of the afternoon making my Auricula theatre from the wood saved from the glass wall deconstruction. Still a bit more to do, then a coat of paint and at last somewhere to put my plants. Picture when it is complete. The glass wall was a hideous part of the bungalow here that we have had removed.

Picked these today. The peppers in the lower left corner are a variety of "superhots" that was labeled as habanero peppers but the peppers in the upper left are the habs. I don't know what the superhot variety is but it looks like a ghost pepper.

Others are cayenne (red and black), banana, jalapeno and San Marzano tomatoes.

Something similar is often used to display Dwarf Hostas.
