Today finds the wife and I in a most unusual location. Budapest, Hungary, on a riverboat about to embark on an adventure. I will provide more as internet access permits. Jerry
Have a great trip! If you want to send a bundle of e-postcards to us, we'll look at every one and enjoy each.
Today we are in Vienna. We spent most of the day viewing a large palace. Explanations are abbreviated, I will fill in the blanks(with Pictures)later. Jerry
Today we are in Passau Germany, many interesting places. I will keep it short as the internet is flakey. Jerry
Oh my Jerry...Vienna. Man, I really like that city; you may remember a couple of years ago my Bride and I went there a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was like a dream...we still talk about the schnitzels and Sachertorte's. Touring around there...we are a ways away, but will you be stopping by our city as well? That would be something else, wouldn't it? Are you with "Viking Tours"?
Yes Sjoerd, we are on a Viking tour. We are about to take an extension to Prague. Pictures later. Jerry
Hoi Jerry. We home host Viking Tour guests in our home for coffee/tea and typical Dutch treats...and answer questions about our city and nation. Will you be doing any of these home visits on your trip? Have a great time, Sjoerd
We have spent three days in Prague after finishing the river segment of our journey. About 950 pictures will document the tour. Cities in Hungaey, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic were visited. The camera did not take a rest as the sound of 'click' preserved the moment in digital form. More later when I am back to my computer. Tomorrow has us flying to Zurich and then home to Chelmsford by way of Boston. Jerry P. S. Sjoerd, I was not aware of the home visits, I will ask our Viking representatives about that.
Hey Jerry-- What a shame that you had not heard of the home visits, as the tourists that we host told us how much they liked the Czech home visits. I think that the home visits are an extra freebie that is offered and not part of the guaranteed scheduled package on the itinerary. I am not sure how it works, but I understand that it simply an option offered by Viking Tours. Anyhow...hope you had a delightful time and I; for one, am eagerly waiting to see your foto's.
