I have spent a bit of time outdoors this summer. Somehow I have been blessed with a gardener joining our household so am able to enjoy nature past my little oasis. My sweetie and I spent a week in Oregon with time split between the Silver Falls State Park and Fort Stevens State Park. We had all types of weather and though we only took the big screen tent we stayed dry with only the big dogs bed getting wet during our one rainy night. Silver Falls has numerous waterfalls and here are a few photos. Fort Stevens is a huge campground with a lake and ocean attached. Rain drove many campers homeward, but lots of people enjoy the weather no matter what the type. The old fort bunker was fun to explore and it was amazing to see how much the old shipwreck had shrunk since my last visit. What had been our first stop on this excursion was a tiny house fest. I was a bit disappointed but it was a fun stop. With all the media on tiny homes, having friends with tiny homes, visiting the RTR, and have done out my own car and trailer for travel I guess I had come with too high of expectations. Too many just felt like expensive mobile homes. Not that that is bad, just I love creativity. Here are two that had some nice details but weight, towing, fuel efficiency and age made me overly critical. At least I know where to take my Serendipity (travel caravan) when I am ready to part with her. Next weekend we are off on the last planned camping trip for the season. Hopefully the crowds will have disappeared or at least thinned out some.
Those waterfalls are spectacular. I've always loved walking where there are waterfalls to see. I hope your trip is hassle free and that most of the crowds have dispersed so that you can enjoy your time away to the full.
I enjoyed seeing the foto's...especially the waterfalls with slowed shutter-speed. Just gorgeous, Jewell.
Beautiful waterfalls Jewell. I also love how you have decked out your screen tent. A combo of the outdoors with the comforts of home.
