Hi there and welcome to the group!! All you need to do is to check in here regularly and ask any questions needed. We need info from you to get you started. Location, soil type,,raised bed or in ground. It makes a difference. Just ask away, we have many here like me who have raised vegetables for a lifetime. Not much we havent seen and dealt with. You will be surprised at what you can do with a small space. Better taste and sure helps the food budget. Hope you enjoy being a member here!!

Hi mart, my location is northern bc, everything I’ve looked at says we are zone 4 I’m not sure what the soil type is as the garden was here when we got here but it is super soft and the previous owners used it as a garden with no problems, it is a ground garden so it’s not raised. Just looking for any tips and info I can get

Welcome, Sierra! You are starting out on a lifetime of enjoyment in your garden (with just enough disappointments thrown in to keep you on your toes;);)).
Zone 4, this site may get you started:

As Eileen said, we love to help, so please ask any and all questions you have.
If you are going to fertilize, please use a natural fertilizer like composted manure (cow, chicken, sheep, whatever, but make sure it is composted). Manure will be used by the plants as needed, and won't burn the plants as some chemical fertilizers can.
If you encounter pests in the garden, we have a host of remedies, as well as preventives and cures for diseases.
