Good morning! It is cooler this morning, so I picked apples and fed some culls to the hens. My dear husband is putting the finishing touches on his workshop (hanging the chandelier, I think!). Later I'll be cleaning house, a bit.

Good Friday morning all, and TGIF! Currently 10°C and clear. It's going to be getting hotter again, today and tomorrow. I've pulled my shorts back out and I'm ready!
Off to work for lots of watering today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 9°C and clear. Rain yesterday and a lot cooler today.
Off to work where we are slowly starting our fall chores . A few potted plants are ragged and will be replaced with fall flowering Mums. Perennials are starting to get cut down now as well. Always a sad time of year.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and overcast. We have rain in the forecast today, and I'm really hoping for an early day.
Lots to do, as well as today is grocery shopping day. I'm feeling worn out haha
Have a great day all :)

I wouldn't mind having to get the garden ready for winter....but wait what is Winter?? I am still waiting for non-summer weather, we have temps in the mid-90's forecast for at least the next two weeks.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 8°C and clear. We had some rain yesterday, and today it should be clear until the evening.
Off to work and we'll be sprucing everything up for an outdoor wedding tomorrow. I do hope the rain holds off for the happy couple.
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 12°C and raining. It's been raining all night, and the ground is finally holding the water. I was getting a little worried about the trees moisture heading into the winter so this rain is good.
Up bright and early to hit the rink. Next week it is back to our regular ice rink and program so we are excited about that!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast.
So this is the first day of garden clean out at work. We start at the outer most gardens and work our way into the Main building. The whole process should take just over 3 weeks, plus we have a week in preparation for our Thanksgiving weekend with fall decorating. Kinda bitter sweet pulling apart all the gardens that we planted my May and June. But if we wait any longer we risk having to do it in the snow, and that is NOT fun!
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 6°C and clear. What a weather roller coaster we have had this week! 3 days ago we had 38°C and today we have a frost warning!
Off to work, hopefully not too much is killed off by frost.
Have a great day all :)

AHHHH @Netty You said the "F" word!!! (Frost) ;) So far we haven't had that here but am thinking real soon (west coast BC). I've cleared out and off most of the garden but don't have all the carrots pulled up yet. Am kinda waiting 'til the bitter end (whatever that is) and then will yank them, clean then and chow down on them :)

Today I'm actually going to go through all the houseplants clean them all up for winter and note which come early spring I'll re-pot to bigger pots.

Am also going to iron and start to cut up some light blue fabric for the next quilt.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and clear. There is a thick layer of frost (sorry Islandlife!) on the vehicles and roof, and it is still dark. I think the temperatures usually get colder as the sun starts to rise and so I'm guessing my gardening is over for the year. We are up bright and early to head to the rink. We'll see how the gardens look when we get back.
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday evening, still got a lot to do in the garden. Plant the polyanthus, wallflowers, spring bulbs and cut out all the fruited canes on the blueberries. Put the hanging baskets away for the winter.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 9°C and overcast. Was already out for my dog walk, and now that I'm home, it looks like rain.
Lots to do in the gardens after the frost, and I've decided to put up some raised beds. I have the lumber all set out, I just need to attach them and full with soil.
There is also firewood to cut, split and stack, the pool to close, trampoline to take down, and lots to cut down in the garden. I also have lots to do inside ... laundry, mopping, and lots of garden produce to put up. It's going to be a busy day!
Have a great day all :)
