As much as I love potatoes, white, (which we used to call Irish potatoes)Sweet potatoes, tomatoes are still tops with me. It's SO hard to choose just one. Oh, I forgot, tomatoes are not vegetables!

The best vegetables I've had have been the ones I've grown. But with a small yard, I could only try a few so far. So, for me its:

    Heirloom Carrots
    Golden beets
    green beans

all the above have to be homegrown or its just another bland tasting veggie to me

It's hard to pick overall favorite veg, but I'd have to say raw snow peas ( or any eatable pod pea/bean ), 0 prep required, and makes a very tasty snack.

yup, this is one reason why I want to expand the veg patch as much as I can.

I love ALL veggies! Some go together like peanut butter and jam, so lettuce just naturally includes tomatoes. All veggies in vegetable soup include onions and garlic. Just one? Tomatoes.

I like to grow parsnips, cucumbers, tomatoes and the hottest chillies, because they're easy to grow.

I just finished the last of the tomatoes and it will be a loooong winter. I saved plenty of Black Krim tomato seeds.

Every year I am certain to plant turnips. I raise them to eating height and pull them up to allow the rest to make turnips. I have some for breakfast every morning with a little bacon grease for flavor. So tender and oh, so good.!

Don Perry, I never took a liking for turnips. I do like the greens.
We called the greens Sallet because Mother always said, "Sallet."
