Being laid-up here with the flu means that it you spend too much time thinking about yourself and how miserable you feel. The wind has stopped and the sunset behind the harbour tower is a true spectacle. The mumurations come and go back and forth this backdrop. One can get lost in this magical spectacle.

The Bride was checking out world news on her tablet and came across this Christmas thing:

So what the heck is this anyway?!
It is a trajectory set out by this chap with a GPS(satnav) and his bike in GB. He biked this route and then published it on the internet.
Check out the story (in english):

Apparently he does it every year, as the article bears out. Hope you like this one.

    did you have the flu?
we had something running through the community this week. the puking and pooping kind... horrors. school was closed, our two churches Wed even services, our churches nursing home Christmas party for the residents... all cancelled. too many sick ones. highly contagious. we were invited to the school Christmas program but it was too last minute to attend... thankfully. we had a wedding at church on Sunday but we didn't attend the reception.. thankfully or the Christmas program at the neighboring denomination where people who didn't know they were sick yet were spreading it like wildfire.... thankfully. we had other plans... wow! oodles of contagion going around.

Flu has ravaged my family. I never caught it (I've never had the flu) but most of the grandkids have, my daughter is just getting over it, Ron got it earlier, one of his kids and one of his grandkids too. It's been wretched.

Take care of yourself Sjoerd....there isn't much you can do for flu except rest and stay hydrated and let it work its way out of your system. <3

Yes CAROLYN--I have the regular sort of flu-like condition with coughing and sinus issues. BAH!

That GI sort that was running through your community sounds worse. You luckily stayed away from the areas where it could have been spread. Good on you.

Thanks RONNI-- I am taking care of myself and now my Bride.
