Have a few winter visitors calling each day, around 16 species. This is one of my favorites, the Spotted Towhee. Just love that red eye.

No towhees around here, :( Towhee daylilies but they show up in the summer, when it's warmer.:). Looking at Towhees quickly though, it is possible to see a Robin.:) Those I have, dozens of them, in the wintertime they like the holly berries.

The Great Spotted Woodpecker is now a regular winter visitor here as well as the Tree Creeper.

We are getting our ducks on the pond--gadwalls, and sometimes Northern shovelers. They don't come during summer and fall, but we look forward to seeing them each winter and into spring. These are a small flock of gadwalls:

I love Towhees. We rarely see them.
