I wonder how many people who take a walk in a forest notice just what is around them? So glad you do Kildale. :)

Nice to see the similar but different forest inhabitants compared to here.

I loved all the photos of ferns and lichens and mushrooms. Those were my favorites. One summer years ago, our family took a ranger-led hike in Acadia Natl Park entitled The World of Lilliput:. Ferns, Lichens, Mosses &. ??? I have forgotten what else. We loved it!! I can still recognize some of the plant life the ranger showed us:. Rock capped ferns, wood ears, and the saying "al-guy and fun-guy took a lichen to each other".

Thanks for posting. I so appreciate living in a rain forest and you capture the beauty that is there so magnificently. Nice to see when the rain, cold and wind make me decide my walk should be in the mall rather than outdoors ;)
