Nothing yet, Hummer. It will be another month or two here. You are such a lucky so-'n-so to live where you do.

LOL @Sjoerd...still cold for this area. However, the weather has been in the 40s at nighttime and almost 70s in the daytime...I'm just getting over a really bad something that is spreading like crazy in this area. The trees/plants are so confused. This little babies will go into the shed with a heater and on that electric blanket. Will sit down and stop my mind from 'growing' all over the place before I start...hehe. Our last definite/safe no-frost day is March 20.

We had that 'something' here as well. It has stayed with us for more than three weeks.

When the Christmas tree goes out and the post-holiday clean-up is done, I prepare to seed!
The shelving stored in the barn comes in, the grow-lights are attached, the seed trays are filled with starting soil, and the heat pads are arranged. I start the cool season vegetables (broccoli and some lettuces) first, then move on to the vegetables that get planted later.
I purchase the standard tomato starts (Celebrity and Roma) and bell pepper starts (Calwonder) because I have limited space, and want to start a few tomato varieties that don't show up in nurseries, and banana peppers. The annual herbs get started inside, and I always overplant basil! This area is well supplied with basil Genovese, and with Italian flat-leaf parsley.
Gardening always gives a person something to do, work at, and fret over!:fingerscrossed:

Little too early to start just yet - but "soon" I'll be thinking about what seeds I want to start growing

End of this month I'll do some chilli seeds. I collected some off my old plants, more hope of them germinating than the bought ones.

Much too early here as well, but I have been thinking about my gardens! Seeds catalogs as well as online catalogs, and I've been watching lots of garden videos.
I put in some raised beds last fall so I am excited to get growing in them! Seeds will get started mid March :)

@marlingardener how lucky you are that the gardening season starts just as the holiday season ends! I have always wished Xmas were later in the winter because it feels like as soon as Xmas is over, we have the longest coldest stretch of winter ahead. Without Xmas to look forward to!

Man, I thought that I was behind. Last year the toms got a late start, but they are on the move in my she-shed..with a heater. The temps the last few nights have been in the 20s. I will get the red bells going this weekend. Does anyone have any viable mexican sunflower seeds to spare?
