Good afternoon all.....it's been raining since very early this morning. Well I heard it start but didn't look at the clock so it could have been before midnight and that would mean it started late last night. The rain appears to have come to an end and with 2.8 inches in the gauge I could hear my plants Singing in the Rain.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -20°C and sunny. I guess I can't complain about the winter temperatures as this is the first cold snap of the year.
We are off to a skating competition today with our Club ... should be a fun day :)

Netty, I hope your skating club scores well at the competition today. Let us know how the club did, please!
We have fog and off-and-on rain. Nothing going in the garden, but I jarred some dried herbs, and baked some cornbread for tomorrow.
Have a good day, all, and I hope your weather is better than ours!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. I woke up to about 20cm of new snow this morning!
Our skating club did well at the competition ... there is one more event, a team showcase, for some of the skaters today.
My daughter did well bringing home 2 gold medals, and the clubs total so far is 9 golds, 3 silvers, and 4 bronze. A fun weekend!
Today I'm catching up on laundry and cleaning house. FUN!
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. We took an extra long dog walk this morning as yesterdays was cut short due to the cold temperatures.
Today, I've got a bunch of paperwork to do and later daughter has a lesson with her dance coach.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -1°C and light snow is falling.
Found lots of different animal tracks on our walk this morning ... raccoon, squirrel, coyote, cat, rabbit and possum. It was a busy night last night, probably due to the mild temperatures.
Has anyone else noticed the longer days? I'm getting spring fever!
Lots of housework to do today, so I'll be busy.
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast.
Yet another week has passed, time it flying and it will be spring before we know it!
I'll be doing a bit of spring cleaning today, and we will be at the rink this afternoon/evening.
Have a great day all :)

Netty, enjoy your "ice time" at the rink!
We have fog, pea-soup fog, so all outside activity that can be postponed has been--just too wet to weed, and pruning is best done when you can see what you are cutting!
Like Netty, I'm cleaning, but not spring cleaning. Just getting the dust bunnies, tracked in grass, and occasional chicken feather vacuumed up. Yes, we do have chicken feathers in the house occasionally. We track them in, they are not falling off visiting hens!

Good morning all. We have fog too, we haven't seen fog around here in Donkey's Years. Can not see or hear traffic on Beltline Road just two blocks away. Have not heard any airplanes fly over from or to the small airport a couple of miles away and nothing landing or leaving Love Field so it must be very heavy there too.
The colony of stray cats who like my backyard and the food I put out is dwindling, only two now after having about 6-8 over the past few months. I heard yesterday that coyotes have been wandering through our neighborhood so I guess that explains the missing cats....and possums.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -1°C and freezing rain. I hear there were lots of accidents, but I haven't been out to see. People just need to slow down!
It looks a wee bit foggy here too. My daughter is home today as she has finished her exams and doesn't need 'credit recovery' that is offered today.
Her new semester starts on Thursday.
Staying home this morning, but will have to venture out later for her dance lesson.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -14°C and clear. A little colder than it's been, but there isn't any wind so that helps.
It's Thursday, and that means it's shopping and errands day. I'm also stopping to have coffee with a friend I haven't seen for a long time.
It should be a great visit!
Have a great day all :)

Hey Netty---how is your national skating club going? Are you guys getting ready for the upcoming duels?
How is your daughter doing with her skating?

It's cold and damp, so I hurried back to the house and a cup of coffee after seeing to the hens. Since I'm caught up on housecleaning (for once!) I think I'll bake some oregano/onion bread and perhaps a quiche. I'll make a broccoli chicken quiche, and hope my husband doesn't know I'm sneaking more broccoli into him:fingerscrossed:.

Gosh Jane-- that all sounds sooooo goooood. Is it really possible that your man doesn't like broccoli?
Chapeau for being caught up on housecleaning. We just did the same and even went outy onto the balcony and cleaned that as well.
