3340A810-0E75-4A94-B00A-AA22140D5340.jpeg I surprised my Sweetie with a small shed for him to be out of the weather when indulging in his cigars. Here are a few pictures of when it was new and we were just finishing up the interior F914E366-73F6-47B6-9D6E-A388C1945D2E.jpeg

EC18A62C-C2AA-4C7E-B68F-683137D17C5B.jpeg This summer we noticed rot and water damage so had the roof extended, boards replaced where needed, and all new paint inside and out. We hoped to extend the life of the structure since it is nice to be outside in the rain, but dry.

Well, Sweetie doesn’t indulge in cigars much any more. He really hadn’t been using it, so.....

I decided it needed to be comfortable for me. I can now sit and watch the birds in any weather, admire the garden, meditate alone or with friends, read, watch the stars and moon, or just the city lights. Have also made a bench bed for naps or sitting. There is even a small table for art work creating.(Not shown) So the old cigar shark has been girly-fied. Sorry no stinky cigars, but Sweetie is a sweetie and he only smokes occasionally on the golf course now so no complaints.

Sorry, the photos are so poor. The shack is less than 8x8 feet and photos can only be taken from outside through the windows. Yes, the shed is used almost daily now. It is a quiet space in our wild backyard full of nature without leaving home. Sometimes greatly appreciated in our busy household :like::heart:

OO I could happily spend hours in that shack!! What a lovely space you have created Jewell. Mmmm :headscratch: I wonder if my other half could be persuaded to build one like it for me?

Count me in on the :"envy" crowd! That is lovely, peaceful, and very useful. I'm sure our cats would love it, especially the bench bed for naps.

This needs strong fortification, like barbed wire all around. And some laser tripwire security system too. A moat around the entire structure would provide extra security. Also a few strong searchlights on the roof, with Independent solar power, (and batteries for night). 2 bloodthirsty attack Dogs would be very nice too. But an earthquake proof basement would prove to be far more useful in the long run, (for ammunition plus food and water storage). Of course, bulletproof glass is a must...

Oh wait... Wrong forum!!! :snicker: :smt044
