Good Friday morning all. Currently -5°C and overcast. We had snow overnight and will get some more this afternoon. I just hope it stops by late afternoon ... darling daughter has a skating competition today about 2 hours away from home. It will be a late night for us.
Lots of little things to do around the house today, so I'll be busy.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -8°C and overcast. There was some light snow falling but it seems to have stopped.
Had an excellent night Friday ... my daughter skated great and was able to push her spot in the standings up quite a bit.
Once more chance to improve her score in a few weeks, and hopefully she will qualify for Provincials.
Today, it's laundry and house cleaning.
Have a great day all :)

It hits us hard because the natives know they are not adept at driving in those conditions so we stay home and watch the northerners who keep telling us that they know how to drive in that weather slip and slide off the road into a ditch or two. : )
In the old days....that meaning a few years ago...in the 1980's we had actual accumulations of snow a few times in winter. But that snow was preceded by rain, which as the temperature dropped turned in to sleet and as it got colder it created a layer sometimes 1-2 inches of ice on the streets and highways....followed by an inch or more of actual snow that hid the ice below. We have not had weather like that in about 30 years.

Well of course it needs cleaning. All those men have been tromping around on the moon, leaving behind who knows what!

    That's funny
Good Monday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast. We had about 5 inches of snow last night.
Hubby has thrown his back out somehow, and can barely move today. I foresee a trip to the Chiropractor.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! We had snow yesterday. This morning the weather channel said we had 9 inches and it was four degrees outside. It's supposed to be 27 degrees today but down to only 4 degrees again on Wednesday and Thursday. I think we will be staying inside for awhile. Good thing we went shopping on Saturday. dooley

Wow Dooley, your temperatures and snow make me ashamed of complaining about our temps--high 40's, low 50's.
We went into "town", the nearby small city, to shop today for things we can't get locally. We both got haircuts, got cheeses (Camembert and Edam), and some office supplies we needed. Came home and had a hot lunch (did I mention we were in the low 50's?).

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -2°c and overcast.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing today. I do know I have to take hubby to his chiropractic appointment at 12:30. I guess I'll just 'putter' around the house until then.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! It is c-c-c-c-cold today. We had the heat lamps on the hens last night and I'm considering going to the coop with a lawn chair and basking with the ladies.
House cleaning (Netty has inspired me to clean better and more often) and cat cuddling are on today's agenda.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -8°C and sunny.
My son got back from his vacation in Punta Cana last night with a black, blue and swollen ankle/foot. He went to get it checked out and found out it is a bad sprain.
Always something with that boy haha
Home from the rink now onto some housework. Glad I could help inspire you MG ;)
Have a great day all :)

It's Saturday and after two below zero days with windchill's in the minus category it is going up to about 20 degrees today so we are going to go to the grocery store. More snow and rain coming on Monday. No buses tomorrow so I'll dress warm and we'll head out in about half an hour. I guess we will stop and get some lunch somewhere, too. Maybe we'll stop at Walmart. dooley

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 0°C and overcast. I had an extra long dog walk in the wrong boots and now I've got a throbbing blister on my heel. Always something.
We are headed over to celebrate my grandsons 2nd birthday today! I'm excited ... I haven't seen the boys in a few weeks!
Have a great day all :)
