Oh Jane...those birds look like they have spanned the aeons.
I wonder what the eggs looked like. They are pretty large already and look as though they may bolt from the nest at any moment.
    Chapeau for this extraordinary foto.

My Bride said that your piccy ought to be "Picture of the Month". hahaha.

This is truly an award winning picture!!! :like:

Honestly, you should submit it in some photos competition somewhere.

Nelleke, the gardening neighbour girl cannot visit her father in the old folks home because of the Corona rules here, so she sends him pics of birds every week. He is very fond of birds. She made this whole thing and sent it to him. I asked if I could post it on this thread and she agreed.

When I was little, my daddy would take me to the "Grill" in town to get a sandwich and a sundae. On the counter was a woodpecker toothpick picker upper, and daddy would say "Get me a toothpick" because he knew I was fascinated by it. As I remember, you touched the tail and the head bobbed down and came up with a toothpick.
Not as cute as the clothespin birdie, but still rather neat!

What a lovely thing for your neighbour to make for her father. I'm sure he was delighted with it.

MART--I did exactly as you said. She beamed a grin from ear to ear. The girl was well chuffed.

JANE--That is a cute thing. How do folks think them up.

EILEEN--She said that he was indeed. She is a clever cloggs.
