Sjoerd, not quite as organized and neat as your's and your Bride's. I'm always a bit envious at how interesting you make the growing process. Thanks for the :like:

I have looked at the garden through a door or window but with the temps going into the 101 to 105 deg range the next few days and possibly longer, my garden will have to try to remember what I look like until sometime in Sept.

Growingpains, now I'm wondering what my onions would look like if I dug them up. I cut all around the core of 2 onions, then cut the top and planted directly in the soil. I have them up, but was waiting for them to produce seeds. I do have shallots that I dug up. They're drying, right now. I plan on taking the smaller ones and planting them this fall.

My garden is having to fend for itself as we are out of town for a few weeks. A friend says she would stop by and harvest any ripened veggies so that is good.

We've got thunder storms, again. I just went and closed all the windows, but the front door is open. The cool breeze feels nice and I won't be watering the gardens today. Both cats are sitting in front of the door looking out. Minney was sitting on a window sill in the kitchen, until I closed it. When she heard the thunder, she turned to me and spoke quite loudly, like it was my fault. Kendra has decided the front door is boring so she moved to the couch and is going to sleep. Well I guess I'll go do something in the kitchen, since it's cooler.

I spent some time in what I describe as, my "low maintenance garden."
I cut the lawn after fitting my new Flymo blade. I got the grass out of the rockery, dead headed the roses and prunded the wisterias. Then did a bit of hoeing, followed by a bit of sweeping and garden blowing and vacuuming.

That's three and a half hours of my life I'll never see again.

My family had an army issued jungle hammock from an Army Surplus store (remember those?). When we went camping, I used to sleep in it. Started dry even in rain storms. If course, I was a kid then & kids manage to sleep anywhere without trouble. Not sure if I could do it now...

I am up at the family farm with my husband & brother. We have been taking daily hikes, swimming in the pond as well as doing projects.
Today I planted some perennials I'd brought with me from home. We've also begun laying a wood floor up in the loft. I'll see if I can attach a pic. IMG_20200711_170303.jpg

This is of the first board installed. The first one is always the hardest, especially in an old camp cottage where nothing has been straight for 50 years. IMG_20200711_165050.jpg

And here's a photo of the pond. I know I've posted shots of it before. Until today it's been 90+ degrees & we've been swimming every day.
