Gorgeous!! Is that Catchfly in the 3rd last photo? Just realized my catchfly patch is absent the year!

@Netty yes that is catchfly! Good eye. It is not a common plant where I live. I have tried it other places on our property but it has not done well. I think it loves where it is: good drainage, maybe hot and dry due to being right next to the brick pavement surrounding the pool. I don't think it likes damp.

Thanks all. In particular this year both my community garden and the home garden have been balm for my soul. I am even giving attention to our compost piles!. Turning them, watering them, etc. Because of the virus, I have not had friends to the house. Yes, they could come sit
on our terrace, take a tour of the garden but I couldn't offer them lavatory services....which seems wrong if they have come from a distance.

I have had neighbors over, our daughter, friends close by. I am even wishing I had an outhouse as ridiculous as that sounds! I could offer that to our daughter easily, she is a real camper. Can't exactly offer it to others.

Showing you all these pictures is a way of inviting you to my garden.

Cayuga, thank you for letting me visit your beautiful and varied garden. I went to the bathroom before I came;).

The first foto showed a really nice mix of colour and sort; however that clematis....amai, that was something to behold !
It sort of looks like the "Pink Champagne". Whatever it is, it is smashing. The Iris looks familiar as well. There is an iris sort coming from France that I have been thinking about for awhile (it looks a lot like that purple and white one of yours). It is very expensive though, so I would have to convince my Bride of its merits. I do not have many irides, but there is a spot that I could clear for a new beauty like yours.

As for your covid measures--I do not see anything odd or mean at all. It is a time where one doesn't get a second chance when lax or indifferent. I am sure that your family and friends understand your measures.

And then there is that remark about having a dunny in the back garden. hahaha. You could just let your guests P on your compost pile. Really.
Seriously though, my grandparents had one for so long that when the late 20th Century arrived (and they sprung for an indoor one), they still used the outside one regularly.

Good eye, SJ!!!! That Clem is Pink Champagne. I had to check my plant crib sheet to confirm it.

    Yeah I'd like an
    outside outhouse and
an outside shower too. Showering with the birds and the bees!

Please excuse my miscellaneous gaps between my words....I am having trouble with my phone on this site when I need to correct something. It keeps erasing the subsequent word! I can only deal with it by hitting the return key.

Oh! That was a lucky guess.
I am not opposed to outside showers and loo's. When we travelled a lot it was common to do just that in several countries. Malaysia and Indonesia come to mind.

@Cayuga Morning - Thank you! ;) The orange ones are old. Came from an old house honestly decades ago. They always grow and never fail.
