I just want to show a couple of simple foto's of some of the flowers blooming at the moment: Here are the white phlox. I performed the Chelsea chop on them and their blooming season is indeed being extended. Perhaps you can see the bloomed-out first flush in there--t while the second flush is going to town. The Stokesia is beginning to fade now. I liked it when it was that lovely blue in the beginning. This tiny moth was sitting on an apple leaf: This guy is a blow-in. Tomorrow it will be more harvesting. processing and schoffeling.
Thank you for the lovely bloom photos! Right now we have nothing much blooming--too hot, too dry. We go through this each year and know that our season of blossoms will come later. Meanwhile, we can enjoy your flowers!
Just too lovely. I sure wish that the blooms would last all summer long. I love all the different colors.

Very pretty!! My wildflowers exhausted themselves around June, but I am looking forward to next March, when they start to pop up again! I don't get to look at them for very long, but what a show while it lasts!! (Here is an overall photo from this last spring.)
Beautiful SJ. BTW, what is the"blow in"? It looks agapanthus-like but I don't think those usually blow around. Your phlox and stokesia look great too! I am guessing you are growing them in full sun. Spector, I like your wildflowers!
Cayu--I thought that the blow-in was an agapanthus, however....as far as I know, agga's do not blow around. Perhaps a bird pooped out a seed; however, I believe it is a _________. I just cannot recall the name at the moment. Darn ! You are right about the location of those flowers being in the full sun. BTW I use the term, "blow-in" loosely to cover windy donations as well as avian deliveries.
