    My "wall of plants"

We were planning to be away from home for 2+ weeks & I had a whole bunch of veggie plants as well as flowers in pots on our terrace. I rigged up an automatic watering system to hydrated them while we were gone. They are in a "wall" so they could all benefit from the sprinkler. IMG_20200722_185030_compress98.jpg

Islandlife, those are doubles. It is Hemerocalis fulva, (the species), but it is a double. Maybe Hemerocalis fulva 'Kwanso'.? Don't you love it?

@Cayuga Morning - Never knew the name other than they're quite pretty, old and super hardy (here in my area anyway - which is the Pacific North Northwest - on Vancouver Island)

My brother who lives in Ohio tells me they are called "Ditch Lillies" there because of their tendency
to grow in roadside ditches. I have also found them incredibly hardy. You can't kill them!

I really, really like that "Wall of Plants"! It is spectacularly attractive.
You really do have some very nice areas in your home garden areas.

Thanks Sjoerd. The wall is actually a wall. You couldn't walk through them. We were having to walk all the way around the house to get from one part of the back yard to the other. At least until I redistributed them when we got back home.

Yeah, I can see why something had to be done, but the effect was really nice.

I am actually about to construct another "wall". The chipmunks have persisted in eating my tomatoes in pots on the terrace before I can get to them!!!!! GRRRR. So, with muscle help from hubbie & daughter, I will put them all up on a table, hopefully out of reach of these little critters.

    Does anyone else have chipmunks?
