We encourage the birds to use our feeders and likewise the squirrel, hers.

The feeders are situated so my wife can see the activity through the French windows from her chair in the lounge.

But I like to be organised. Feeding is a daily task and I don't want to spend a lot of time doing it.

So here's their food store. It's made from bits I had in the garage, a couple of old ice cream tubs and three canisters my wife was going to throw out.

Obviously your restaurant has made the bird and squirrel 5 star list. Are the meals made to order or is it buffet style? is your restaurant open all year round or is it seasonal?

This year we had a delinquent Robin that wanted to only use the suit feeder instead of hopping about the yard hunting for bugs and worms.

I buy a 25 pound (weight not cost) box of in the shell roasted peanuts, every two weeks from a local shop that sells in bulk quantities for the squirrels and birds...mainly Blue Jays, once in a while a woodpecker shows up, chases everyone else away, grabs a nut and takes off.
But for the most part the squirrels and Jays are willing to take turns.

Wow, that puts my two Vittle Vaults (black oil sunflower and nyjer thistle) to shame! :)

I am impressed. The robins around here go after the Toyon berries, but I never see them at the feeders. I might have to try some suet this fall! Right now, it would probably just melt out there.
