That is so adorable. Well that also explains what I have been noticing. I keep finding bees just hanging out in the flowers of my sedum. Just hanging out, not moving, not doing anything. Now I know they are likely taking a snooze! BTW, the bees I find doing this are a type of bumble bee.
That is a cute pic, Jane. It reminds me of the cat foto you posted a few days ago. Those solitary bees are fuzzy like the cats. I see bees taking a break in my flowers frequently. Most commonly bumblebees here.
wild, but I have seen the bumbles literally clinging to the anthers in the flowers as I try to pick for my farmers markets. I sometimes have to literally pick them off and deposit them on a flower I am not picking.
I often find bumblebees resting/sleeping on our flowers too. I haven't noticed the honey bees doing it though.
