One of the reasons I have a plethora of house plants is because of my difficulties in throwing away cuttings. Over time I have collected little vases that I can easily drop cuttings into and eventually pot. This is a small collection of young plants or cuttings (sometimes only a leaf). I use plastic bags, upside down brandy snifters or whatever strikes my fancy. Mostly I scatter the containers with starts around and hide them amongst other bigger plants. For furniture protection I use furniture floor protectors, cedar shakes, drink holders. it is amazing how a few leaves stuck in a little vase can look like a full plant. Here is an office pen holder I turned into a place to drop cuttings from a variety of plants. Once spring comes around I will have a variety of plants to give away. It’s turning into an annual ritual that started from a few cuttings placed in my kitchen window a few years ago. Do you have any interesting tips, tricks or starter containers you really like?

Jewell I like your collection of baby plants. They look very healthy and you've managed to make them look pretty. I get a kick out of your fascination with starting plants! An indoor nursery.
Jewell, you definitely do not need any starting tips from me, but I'll offer one anyway. I cut the bottom off two liter clear soda bottles and place the bottle over the potted cutting. By removing or replacing the cap on the bottle, I can control the humidity. I do this in the barn with rimmed cookie sheets as water catchers.
