You may have heard of a river dike breaking here and flooding due to torrential rain falling.
There was a short video on our public news channel, but I could not capture it. It is still a pic that is cute and sad at the same time. I doubt that the mouse will think this flood warning is a croc of ****.

Sjoerd, when we heard of and saw the flooding in Germany and Belgium, it was saddening. But, when we heard there was flooding in the Netherlands, we were worried! My husband asked if you had posted and I told him you had, thank goodness. We both hope you stay dry, and your lottie isn't flooded.

The flooding in my country is way down in the south in the delta area. It is very bad in Nederland, but not as bad as in Belgium or Germany. It is very serious there with more than 1300 people.....just missing. When you see what the flooding is doing, the erosion and property loss, it is so sad.

Down south, the water just isn’t draining away. It has flooded and for some reason is just staying. Many people have paved their front and sometimes back yards and that is not helping the water to go away.

There are areas where help cannot reach just yet, and other areas where the disaster planing is working perfectly. It is amazing to see how quickly measures are being taken, including the use of our armed forces to help with things like water control, rescues and of course sand bag filling and placement.

The donations have begun for financial relief to the victims.

We are so fortunate that we are not having problems with the flooding rivers. I am grateful.

Thank you Jane, Cayu and Beeker for inquiring . That means a lot.
