Well, it's Labor Day here in the USA and I shall be laboring. It's also Monday, so that means laundry, cleaning a bit, and cooking. Not heavy labor, but labor anyway.
    Have a good Monday, all!

Our Thursday has started off extremely well with a temperature of 69 degrees, and low humidity. If that wasn't enough to cheer us up, the local public radio station played Highland Cathedral while we sipped coffee and watched the hummingbirds. Nothing like hearing the pipes to start your day off well!
Hope you all have an equally good day (play a little bagpipe music to help your day along).

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 17°C and overcast with passing sprinkles.
I'm kinda glad its rainy this morning ... it might help me to get my housework done.
The garden will have to wait!
Have a great day all :)

Netty, hoping you have a great day, too!
I'm making pesto this morning from some of the overabundance of basil. The little lady down the road that uses Meals on Wheels loves pesto, so I'm taking her linguini with pesto for dinner tonight. MoW doesn't deliver on Sundays but does provide a cold Sunday supper with Saturday's delivery.
Trimmed up tomato plants are putting out new growth, so I need to take some ties out and do some tomato bondage!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear.
I just survived a week without internet! All fixed up for now. Tech guys said I may require an extension on my tower in the near future.
Off to see my dad at the retirement home this morning, then off to pick corn stalks for fall decorating at work. Should be fun :)
Have a great day all :)

Netty, glad to see you back! I was beginning to worry since your Good Morning posts were missing. I'll bet the fall decorations at work will be lovely. Do you have any of the multi-colored Indian corn to mix in?
I made applesauce this morning, and my husband is sitting at the kitchen table peeling the outer hulls off almonds. We have a pretty good crop of almonds this year. Last year--nothing.

Well bless my soul - I just found this nice G'day thread (I'm a bit slow) I've been trying to put the new plants to bed for the autumn/winter as they'll need a bit of mollycoddling - you know, ''dig around, remove weeds, water heavily and mulch'' (someone should write a song with that title) It got a bit warm earlier, so after lunch I indulged in a snooze. Early evening now, so cooler, and I might just get the first bed finished if I get a slither on. :fingerscrossed:

Good Sunday morning all. Currently a chilly 9°C and sunny.
Had a great nights sleep with the window open and the cool breeze blowing on me!
Lots of grass to cut, gardens to trim and deadhead, laundry and housework to do today - not necessarily in that order haha.
What ever happened to Sunday being the day of rest?
Have a great day all :)

good morning everyone! been a long time since I made it to this thread. just crazy filled up wall to wall life. been doing the full time farmstand/greenhouse/farmersmarket gig all Spring and Summer. all most finished. need to clean up and put it to rest for the season. Still taking care of my aging frail inlaws and hope to find a care facility as soon as we can. right now we all have covid. which is horrible. one after another has gotten it. I am recovering but really don't feel up to taking care of two elderlies withcovid either. I guess I will just have to buck up if I can. I am so tired.

Another new day, and it rained in the night! Hooray, that saved a job, AND we got all the grass cut yesterday too, just in time. It's lazy day then today, and a trip to the garden centre for those bulbs, and just maybe... a new bird bath. :smt020 Good morning gardeners.

Good Monday evening all. Currently 22°C and sunny. I can see the front approaching in the distance, that is to bring 3 days of rain. We need rain, and to tell the truth I could really use a day or 2 off! Carolyn called it "Crazy filled up wall to wall life" and thats exactly what I'm experiencing too! I am not having to deal with Covid on top of all that and Carolyn, you get my complete sympathy. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Heading out to the garden soon, to pick all the red tomatoes before the rains begin.
Have a good night all :)
