Mango seed grows 4 seedlings - is it normal?

    I have this mango seed germinated producing 4 seedlings, is it normal?

    Well done but I've never grown one, but I have seen pictures and usually there's only one.

    It says its normal to produce more than one sprout !

    While I don't grow mangoes, as with a lot of species, multiple offspring is possible. It would appear that you have what is called a polyembryonic seed. Many mango varieties are polyembryonic with as many as 20 embryos. Commercial seeds are usually monoembryonic. Have fun with your plants.

    They do sometimes. I would take that as a good omen.

    I guess a mango tree should have only 1 trunk?
    Should I cut the others just leave 1 branch/stem?

    I think you may well have 4 mango plants, can they not be seperate?

    They are just above 10 inches tall, I guess they are still attached to the seed?
