Bears trashed our bird feeders!

    Beeker, mockingbirds will imitate most anything. My husband would step out to the yard and whistle for the cat to come, and a mockingbird picked up on the whistle and call the cat!

    You might want to check out the Starling. They are great at mimicking a lot of different noises. Hope that helps.

    How did I miss this thread? I'm not going to complain about the neighbourhood cats scaring my birds, and not a single word about magpies and crows fetching twigs and arguing about who's twigs they are in the wee hours of the morning again. I'd love to have hummingbirds, though, but they don't live here.
