Our apple trees have wee apples forming, the pear trees ditto. We even have itty-bitty bunches of grapes! We may not be fruit deprived this year.

    That is great news, Jane.
My Moonlights are swelling…but on a micro stage still.
You have some serious progress there though.
    Congrats.

I checked my apple tree today and found that the Bullfinches had stripped off almost all pf the blossoms. :( I doubt I'll be getting many fruits this year.

Oh Eileen, I feel your pain. Bullfinches eat blossoms? Birds should restrict themselves to seeds and bugs, not blossoms!
We had a nice crop of almost ripe pears last year, and the deer ate them all! Why does Mother Nature do this to us?

This is very exciting to hear - fingers crossed for fruit this year! I have heard that deer love pears. I can't grow them here, but a friend in the south has to keep the deer away from her pear tree in particular.

Sorry to hear about the Bullfinches @eileen  Saw a pair here last week, first ones we've seen in years.

Took a few pics, outside grapes are just coming into leaf....

Zigs- your grapes look great! I just bought a grape plant and havent figured out how or where to plant it yet! It’s still in the container. Would you mind sharing your set up? Do grapes need a lot of space to grow? A full trellis or just some stakes and wire? I imagine it will be a couple years for the plant to establish and produce fruit. very new to gardening here! But I’m loving it so far.
