    Clay, birds are very hard to photograph, so you did well. Your daughter is a budding ornithologist--keep encouraging her interest!

    That is so exciting and rewarding - I admire anyone that can create a home for a bird. Your daughter must be so tickled about her accomplishment

    I been trying to figure out it doesn't look like starlings I seen photos of it looks more like a grey catbird but then again very hard to tell. I guess I need to get a better pic lol.

    Lots of birds have made this area home way before I lived here. The robins always bring in spring with a bang .. literally as the windows seem to attract them.

    I did see the bird in question on my garden fence this morning when I first got up. No camera in hand but it is definitely the Grey Catbird.
