Woodpecker has arrived!

    For the last few days we've had a red bellied woodpecker hanging around the feeder and watering station, and going up and down a nearby tree. So happy to have him! Why do I have such a fondness for woodpeckers?

    You probably associate yourself with people; or in this case, beasts which are incredibly lucky. It was probably woodpeckers that coined the phrase, “knock on wood”. Heh, heh. Heh. heh-heh !
    Gorgeous bird that, though.

    IDK marlingardener, but I love them too. Yours is very good-looking and very different from the one we have visiting now and then.

    We have Great Spotted Woodpeckers here and they really enjoy the fat balls and peanuts we put in the feeders for them. I'm so glad they like visiting my garden.
