Difficult to choose a winner, glad I don't have to. I love yellow roses and the green winged creature is fascinating. Good photos everyone!
Oh wow! Only one day into August, and all those beautiful flowers! Buddleias are illegal here. Invasive. There are a few interspecific hybrids that can't make seeds, and are legal to grow.
The Buddleias that started to grow on all the bomb sites in London here after WW2 are the really invasive ones and they have been a nuisance on our patch here as they seed like mad!! The one that Zigs photographed is Black Knight - one of the species that will not seed itself. We also have a few Royal Red and a B Alternifolia. Alternifolia is the first one to show flowers in this garden and it's habit is quite different. It has a weeping habit. White Profusion is lovely too.
Lagan wearing my sunglasses to see your yellow roses.. titters.. like the weeping buddleias.. And lots of butterflies out around the garden today . I was out mowing so no camera shots.
