Im super excited!! I went to the nursery today and got some new flowers! A few of them are going to seed, so I can use them for sowing. Heres what I got: Black-eyed Susan 'Rudbeckia hirta 'Cappuccino' Spike Speedwell 'Veronica spicata Royal Candles' Speedwell 'Veronica hybrid Gilles Van Hees' Echinacea purpurea 'Pow Wow White' Echinacea 'Sun Seekers Salmon' Blanket Flower 'Gaillardia x grandiflora Arizona Sun' Lilium asiaticum 'Tiny Diamond'. Its quite hot and humid out right now, 90 degrees with like 100 % humidity. I walk outside and my shins start to sweat. LOL I think I will wait to plants these guys for a bit.
Thanks !!Oh, me too!! There were some items that were just beautiful, some Dahlias and Hydranga trees, just wow. Those stopped me dead in my tracks. I did not get those. I am however, very happy with the plants I choose!! I am concerned that the Rudbeckia will try to take over. Should I try to contain it in a pot, thats in the ground? Does anyone have any experience with them, and can offer advise? I ask, because there is wild Rudbeckia in the fields across from me, and they are close to 6' tall, and have spread out pretty nicely.
