These ridge tiles are excellent and will save a fair bit of money too :smt038

Uncovered the concrete base yesterday, had it covered to keep debris and pigeons off it.

    And this happened today :)

Oh boy how I would like a shed that size. Knowing my hubby though he'd have it filled with his junk before I could say boo.

    This is the way.

@Zigs are those flat shingles also a ceramic or are they a metal roof tile? The shine made me wonder.

Today we shop for the paint to do this building up before it rots.....he likes black, or green:suspicious:- I prefer to keep it a lighter shade. I wonder what it will look like when it's done :worried:.....:scheming:

They are artifical slates, think they're cement fibre or something. They cut very well and are very easy to nail.

Only shiney because the rain is sitting on them, you can see the new ones made by a different manufacturer, water sits different on them for some reason.

:( 'Orrible colour ennit. As grey as the weather, but it was the price that made the difference and we like a bargain. The alternative was very black, very dark brown or dull green, and the dull green was in short supply. I suppose the important thing is that it's got its first coat of protection. We're expecting a cold blast in the weather with possible global warmed snow

Maybe Zigs forgot to answer this DM, but they are fibre cement slates. They shine when it's been wet, and it sure has been wet lately.
