Freebie Chair Redo

    I got this old chair for free. The wood frame was still solid, even though the upholstery was rotten and ugly. I removed all of the old upholstery, and stripped it to the frame. Removing the upholstery tacks was hard, but I eventually got them out. I don't like the strapping for seats that was used whenever this was made, and did not have any. I cut some plywood for the seat and the back, so it looks a bit different. I painted the frame white, and then put the plywood on. I had enough foam for the cushions, and picked out a pretty gold fabric to cover them. I reused some of the tacks to put the new upholstery on it. It is a bit small, something like a vanity chair.

    I love refinishing and upcycling furniture. It's frugal, fun, and rewarding. You did a great job!

    It looks very nice now. Love the wooden frame. White suits it.
