Well, I passed my manual dexterity test this morning. I folded fitted bed sheets and earned a C-. The contents of the blanket chest aren't pretty, but at least the lid closes!
We have overcast skies and a slight drizzle. Since it is not a pretty day I'm going into the kitchen and bake apple bread and make perogies for the freezer. So much for my resolution to eat up food from the freezer. I can't help myself:worried:.
Netty, happy birthday to your granddaughter! She is so fortunate to have such a grand grandmother.

Well started out the morning yelling at the tree trimmers driving up my driveway and ready to clip my trees ? I thought not again.. but it was a false alarm … it was the electric company checking the electric pole by the house. So it turned out OK. I never ran out side so fast when I saw that bucket / cherry picker truck coming up my driveway. This gal still got speed …. threaten my trees and you have a problem…:snicker:

Good Thursday morning! 2.5°C, storm is taking a breather. It will return bringing snow and thunder later this afternoon. I'm minding three young school children today and will be driving back and forth to activities all afternoon/early evening. I have to make sure they do their homework and feed them somewhere in there too. But stables first. I'm gonna fall asleep sitting up this evening. Just hope the parents will manage to get home before late at night. We had landslides, cancelled ferries and closed bridges in our area yesterday.

Wishing you all a nice day!

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast. Heavy rain is in todays forecast.
A crazy night at the arena last night ... the arena worker fell and hit his head hard on the ice surface. Ambulance was called and he was taken to the hospital. Thankfully he wasn't too seriously hurt as hes had a fractured neck before, but he does have a concussion and will be off for a few weeks. Nothing like a crisis to remind people of emergency protocol! Yikes!
Its Thursday and I'm off to do my errands and shopping.
Have a great day all :)

@Droopy - that sounds like quite the storm. Hope all is well there.

We are a balmy -1 and snowing like a dickens again. Hubby has to return to town tomorrow for more dental work for the tooth that broke a few days ago. If he feels well enough I will stay home and plough snow. About this time of year we start to wonder if it is the "last plough" of the year, but something tells me there is more to come.

Today is making dinner, and making a large pot of sqaush soup. I had over 60 spaghetti squash two years ago, so they were roasted and put in the freezer. I use a homemade stock, mirepoix, seasoning and squash and then puree. Cream soup without the cream :) And it freezes well for quick lunches. I'll add curry to some for today and then have a scoop of greek yogurt with it.

Thank for the kind words Pac. It's been a long year this winter.

AND...( drum roll please)....time to open up the pineapple on pizza debate. :D:p Are you a Hawaiin girl?

Fun fact, a Greek immigrant who owned a pizza restaurant in Canada is credited for creating the Hawaiin pizza.

We're a divided family. Only one of my kids likes pineapple on their pizza. Hubby and I love it.

Melody, I am a traditional pizza person. Ham, pineapple, Whatever the heck "white pizza" is. NO! I love pizza, and make a pretty good one myself. If I put a "Hawaiian pizza" in front of my husband, he'd leave the table.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -2°C and overcast with winds and a bit of snow.
Today is DD's competition day! We are leaving just about lunch time for the 1.5 hour drive. I'm hoping to meet up with my cousin while there ... I haven't seen her since my sisters wedding back in 1987!! Turns out her daughter skates too! Our schedules might not match up but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
As for pizza, I love vegetarian pizza, so pineapple works for me. I don't always get pineapple though, what I really love is tomato on pizza! My favourite pizza has peperoni, tomato, green pepper, mushroom, red onion and extra cheese.
Have a great day all :)

I am a bit old-fashioned when it comes to pizza’s; however, we have a New York Pizza in our little town and they once had one with with Philly cheese topping. After having a real Philly. Cheese somewhere up north in the U.S. —I thought that I had gone to heaven. I ate them regularly the time that I was in that area.

Sadly that pizza topping only lasted six months. To be fair it did not taste as good as a Philly Cheese Sandwich, but I liked them for a change from the regular.

We often have the pizza’s delivered to the lottie during the long summer days of working.

Good morning! We've got 5°C, rain, a little bit of wind still, but today will be a good Saturday. I'm determined to make it so. We're fine here. Lots of twigs, branches, and leaves all over the place, but I'm not doing any outdoors spring cleaning in the wet weather. I'll feed the birds and then I'm off to the stables. I think a good walk will do both Skuld and me good after spending too much time inside the last three days.

@Netty, I do hope your arena worker will heal quickly. Poor man.

I like pineapple on my pizza. The 80's rang and wanted their food fad back, but I'm not yielding!

Wishing you all a nice Saturday!
