    Hi everyone,

I got this plant at a grocery store and it was only labelled as an 'assorted plant'. I have no idea what it is or how to care for it. Does anyone recognize it? Would greatly appreciate your help.

P.S. It's started turning a little brown at some of the tips or just losing its dark green colouration since I got it. I've kept it in indirect sunlight and given it a small amount of water since I got it a week ago.

    Thank you!

I believe that it is an asparagus fern. There are several types however.

I agree it is an asparagus fern. They like indirect bright light and never let the soil dry out. They like to be misted with water and keeps the leaves from drying out and turning yellow. This is the time of year plants begin their seasonal growth. Adding liquid fertilizer half strength at each watering according to the container size directions on liquid fertilizer. keep away from heat or air vents will dry them out quickly. Adding a clear plastic bag temporarily over the plant with help maintain leaf moisture . Open the bag during the day to allow air to circulate nail it recovers.

Looks like you've got yourself a cool mystery plant there! After taking a peek at the snap, my guess is it might be a camphor tree. They're known for those glossy, pointy leaves and can grow pretty tall. If you're into gardening or just curious about nature, it's worth checking out more about them. I found some interesting info about camphor trees here: https://www.mklibrary.com/camphor-tree/ . Hope this helps solve the mystery! Happy gardening!
