    Lovely medlar blossom @Zigs ,

    They used to talk about medlars at the Home Orchard Society. It's one of their few unusual fruits that I didn't try to grow.

    I was given some here once, let them become well over-ripe and made some jam. It was good, but turned out too sweet.

    The Gazania's that I grew from seed began to bloom. They are my happy flower. I'm very proud of these lovelies and pleased to see them open.

    Oh Mel— they really are bright faces. You did very well, mate. It gives a special feeling to plant a little seed then get this as a reward. What a feeling.

    Loggie— I forgot to say that your fuchsia will be a pretty one. I have grown that myself.

    Our lantanas are thriving--guess they like the extra rain, even if they are Texas natives and used to dry and hot. This is the big lantana camera we have in the front flower bed. Very colorful, and no-care, except for a severe cutting back in the winter.
