    Feel free to add yours
Just made my first lot of mince pies 4 dozen. Put a bit of sherry in, not a lot because there was a lot of moisture.

Cooked the onions and breadcrumbs with chopped sage for the stuffing. Put them in the freezer for now.

My granddaughter isn't a big turkey fan; so last year I made lasagna for Christmas. It was just the two of us. After CovId my son, his wife, and the two of us talked about it and decided it was easier for us to just stay home. We FaceTime opening each others gifts, and we get together for a dinner at Thanksgiving. But if it's snowy I don't want to go out. So my granddaughter and I decide what we're going to have and last year we decided on lasagna. It may be that again this year. I do make pumpkin pie because that's her favorite. Wednesday I made and canned 7 jelly jars (size) of cranberry sauce. One was taken over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Today i did the roast potatoes, cooked them in a lot of turkey stock until cooked through but not brown and put them in the freezer. On the day I'll take some out and brown them with the pigs in blankets and roast parsnips.

Yesterday roasted the parsnips in turkey stock and put them in the freezer. I've got a lot of turkey stock, always keep it from all of the turkeys and put it in the freezer. When i use it i put it back in the freezer for next time. That way get the flavour of what I've cooked in it.

Loggie, that sounds very interesting to me. I am trying to imagine what it would taste like. I know the two flavours, but what would they taste like? I like the sound of it. And then you freeze it in for later use. What a capital idea, mate.

Sjoerd all i can describe the taste is that it's like having the 2 flavours put together and can taste both, and thanks.

Today made the baked potatoes with sweetcorn and bacon. Put them in the freezer and get out what we need, have 2 each.

Made some for the boys but only the mashed potato, they'll have one each.

Your batch of mince pies, infused with a touch of sherry, sounds like a holiday delight! I can almost taste the warm, comforting flavors. It's wonderful that you're getting into the Christmas cooking and baking spirit.
Speaking of delicious experiences, I recently had the pleasure of dining at the füssen restaurant, which offers exquisite European cuisine. If you ever want to take a break from the kitchen and savor some culinary delights, it's worth considering. Their menu is truly a gastronomic journey that might inspire your own holiday creations.
