    Good morning :).

@Sjoerd I hope that your bride is feeling alot better today.

Like the sound of your menu yesterday @Daniel W ...yummy. ;)

Day off from the garden today . I have a physio session to attend this morning and then we're heading into the city for a bit of shopping and lunch out.

    Have a great day everyone.

Oreti— mate, that sounds like a fun day out…except for the physio…to say that that is fun could be stretching it a bit.;)
    Have fun!

Cheers Daniel— I think she feels a bit better.
Congrats on your thrift store run. It is great to be able to remove stuff with the idea that someone may be able to use it. But what a big job though sorting through things. I was glad to hear that you are getting that upright freezer back.t
    They are handier, I find.
Anyway, great seeing you back on here.

Hello all. Currently 15°C and overcast with a chilly wind. It somehow seems appropriate.
I don't feel like I've slept yet. Yesterday I had to bury my best friend Sargent. He was struck and killed by a car on our dog walk. I stopped to chat with a neighbor and I heard a car coming and went to tighten the grip on the leash and fumbled and dropped it. He dashed to chase the car and was struck and thrown. My neighbor raced us to the vet but he died in my arms before we got there. I am devastated and keep re-living the moment I fumbled with the leash and I don't know that I'll ever get over the guilt I am feeling. That moment of carelessness cost him his life. We buried him in his favorite place, the veggie garden alongside the fence where he sat. My heart is broken.

Netty, please accept sincere condolences. You gave Sargent a full and happy life with lots of companionship and petting. Please remember all the good you did for him.

Netty heartbreaking to read of the tramatic experience with Sargent. It’s peaceful knowing it was simply an accident. Sending healing blessings your way.

Netty, it is such unhappy news. Heartbreaking. Loosing a family member that was much more than a pet can’t be well-wished away…I know that, but just know you have serious friends here that can talk with you about this anytime you want for as long as you want. We are with you on this, my friend.
    Warm wishes to you.

Dear @Netty such sad news ,my heartfelt condolences are sent to you.
Please , please remember that it was not a moment of carelessness.......it was one of those sad things that just happened. You did not foresee it, you did not plan it, you couldn't have stop it.......and it was certainly not your fault..
Guilt feelings are only natural after a sudden unexpected sad event, we all go through the 'what ifs'.
But life is made up of Que Serra, Serra moments.....soon you will find yourself moving on and recalling all the shared happy ones with Sargent.

Love and healing hugs to you.x

Its Sunday morning, and currently just 9°C. We did get a bit of rain yesterday, but the cool wind is not making my peppers happy.
I spent a bit of time outside in the garden yesterday, and planted some flowers on Sargents grave and made a heart around it with some rocks. Boy, this is gonna be tough to get over. I spoke with his breeder yesterday, and she was heartbroken too, but said some things to me that made me feel a little better about the horrible guilt I have been feeling. After talking to her and my family, we have decided to look for a puppy immediately. But there will never be another Sargent, we had a connection like I've had with no other dog, but life has to go on.
We are going as a family to look at a few puppies today. Praying I don't turn into an emotional wreck. To MG, Pacnorwest, Sjoerd and Oreti Thank you for your kind words

It is a cool cloudy day chance of showers but will still be walking for MS this morning. Bought an emergency rain poncho but hopefully the rain holds off then a BBQ. Enjoy your day stewbies.

Netty— You are welkies Netty. Don’t worry about turning into an emotional wreck because GS is the wrecker tow truck and we Stewbies are the grease monkeys that can do repairs.

I am proud of you Clay. That is a good thing to do. Don’t injure yourself though. BTW— do you have to push a wheelchair while doing the walk?
