So I tried to grow zucchini last year managed to kill it.

I don't have much space , wife wanted to try cucumber, and I grabbed a jalapeno and bell pepper plant . And planted them in 5 gallon buckets after drilling drainage holes.

This morning cucumber plant was straight up , I got home for work and it fell down.

Do I stake and tie ? What do I tied with piece of rag? Or did I kill it?

I like caging my cukes. They stay clean and seem to produce more. My preferred cucumber is the heirloom variety lemon cucumber.

@Jewell using cages is a good idea. :smt023 Saves ground space to grow other veggies.
