Hi so sorry everyone. Hope you're all well and in certain areas of our mad world....keeping safe from the weather. I'm not looking in really at the moment....sorry. Having said that I have just flicked through the posts..Sjoerd what is beef' n rocks...??? Knee is very painful but no worse that I had anticipated. Generally though I am feeling quite unwell still but having done my own research it seems that I have unfortunately had a negative after response to the Epiduaral...just have to sit it out until it clears but in some cases apparently it can linger a bit. Haven't had a wink of sleep and that obviously does nothing at lifting my mood ....so my poor hubs and eldest son are real troopers...bless them. Take care x

Hiya Oreti—it is good that you at least feel well enough to check in. We’ll have a natter when you area bit better. Yeah, when you are better, you can drag a comb through your hair, add a little lippy and hang out with us. Steady on for the moment though. “Beef ‘n rocks” is beef stew with boiled tatties, all mixed together. O+x’s
Cheeky @Sjoerd .....I 'll have you know... I' m showered, hair washed and dried and eyes done...( I don't wear any other makeup. ) I can't face any day, good or bad, without completing my morning rituals...looking at my reflection without doing so would make me more ' down in the dumps'. I'm aiming to go out for a coffee with a friend on Friday, if my pain levels are under control ...and of course the weather behaves itself. Another friend phoned last evening and annoyingly there are a handful of films that we've been waiting to see that are due for release...not feeling that optimistic at the moment that I would cope with having to sit in one position for a couple of hours just yet.... We'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the info,I did try Goggling it and just kept getting ' The Rock' Dwayne Johnstone .
Oreti— You are a good sport, haha. They say that teasing truly shows how much you like someone. Tricky thing cheekiness— you can go off a person, you know. Well I hope that you will improve steadily and who knows— perhaps see a couple of those films. That would be a real treat, wouldn’t it.
.....Cheekiness helps dim the pain during low times....a giggle shared amongst friends is the best medicine in the world......so please keep it flowing.... intravenously if possible !!!! x
The first few weeks are the toughest. It’s a lot to cope with , keeping pain meds ahead of the pain. Sleep is always an issue and dealing with pain and swelling takes up all your energy for now. It will get better. Everyone here is pulling for you. One day at a time…. Sending healing blessings your way.
Thanks Pac and Sjoerd....made me giggle. Ice is most definitely my new best friend......not really ideal for this time of year but nevertheless warmly greeted.
