Didn't plant it, never saw it before, don't know what it is. Is it going to come in my house and kill me tonight ?

It might, but don't worry, Captain Neem Oil will protect you from the Grape Hyacinth :)

You have a purple hyacinth !! Wish they would survive here. I guarantee that it won't kill you, unless you eat it !! :D

The first bulb I remember buying from the hardware store in about 1973. They were a penny each :)

Well bless my soul JD - you've never seen a grape hyacinth before ? :setc_032: They were my grandma's favourite little flowers. They cover the ground quite quickly spreading all over the place. Another blue for @Anniekay :setc_073:

I found two more red flax today that have popped up in the ditch !! I think I'll just wait and collect seed from those. But the hyacinth doesn't like my climate. I wish Narcissus came in blue !! :D

They can be grown from seed, so somebody nearby must have some and the seed blew into your yard sometime in the past.

I wouldn't call them purple Annie, I have a few of these growing through gravel in a sunny spot, and a lot more pale blue ones out on the long bed. I'll ask Zigs to take a photo for me to show you.
My last laptop died on me, and I have lots of trouble uploading pics on this one - a chromebook

My eyes see colors differently. I had a Teal colored Pontiac Sunfire back in 98. Everyone kept calling it green.
    Even the manufacturer !! :smt044:smt044:smt044

Look... lets get one thing straight right now... I am a total idiot when it comes to flowers, shrubs, trees, weeds, etc. I buy stuff that looks nice, dig holes, stick stuff in them and then water. I leave the rest up to the Gods. Half the posts I read on this site are like Greek to me, So I just post inane nonsense to try to feel like a part of this forum. Hey, it's OK....I'm happy :smt035

[IMG] Just think how lovely your garden would look with some imaginative planning like this from Eden brothers who I believe are in the USA. Spring scene! Muscari is the right name for these little blue gems - mainly a woodland plant. Throw in a few daffs, and you're off to a good start!!
