I am not in a hurry to get older but I sure would like to retire. I don't not like my job, but we only have one life... and to live it working for someone else is just bonkers.

anyway Happy Tuesday (second Monday for some) we'll see how today goes. Maybe the lights will go out from the thunderstorm. x.x

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 11°C and overcast. Its going to be a warm day, but rainy with a chance of severe thunderstorms. I have the day off work today, and I'm going to spend the morning watching my 3 grandkids while their Mom goes to her OB appointment. We are going to have fun!
Have a great day all :)

Swish some of that rain down this way, please. My rose bushes are standing by the road with tin cups in their thorns.

    :p

Good Tuesday to everyone! The saga of the HVAC installation has finally ended. A part was missing, and had to be ordered. It was to be in last Wednesday, but no notification from the installers. Husband called yesterday morning and was told "the workmen will be out sometime today." Hubby had had enough, and told them the workmen would be out by 2 p.m. or forget it, and they were not getting paid. The workmen showed up at 1:20 and got right to work. Now we get to enjoy a stress-free day today!
On a happier note, congratulations to Netty and all Canadians on the election of the liberal candidate. Carney hasn't backed down a bit from threats and name-calling. Let's hope when our presidential elections come around (if they do) we have the same good sense and pride in our country.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 0°C and mostly cloudy. Yesterdays rain was a bust here, while my daughter got a few hours of good rain just 20 minutes south of here. I had put out 2 rain barrels yesterday with great hopes of filling them but no such luck. May get another chance on Thursday.
Had a great few hours with the grandkids yesterday, then home to prune my plum tree and a few other shrubs. A great dinner and a good sleep and now I'm ready for a productive day at work, then to the rink tonight.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 2°C and cloudy. Rain in the forecast for this afternoon.
Off to work, where spring cleanup is still underway. It would have been a lot faster if I wasn't the only one doing it, but I'm getting it done. Cut the first section of grass yesterday, and I realized how much I like the smell of fresh cut grass! One more day and its my weekend, and my tomatoes really need up potting!
Have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday, I have been in a bit of pain so I have not actually gotten much done, It was a perfect day to mow my lawn (it grew so fast since I last mowed it last week :(! ), hoping to be able to have time to get my her garden finished weeded and mulched, but oof it's so much work. I'll get there someday.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 10°C and overcast.
Its my day off and I'm finally going to get my tomatoes up-potted today! A few things to do inside and a dog walk first, but then its out to the greenhouse to put up the shade cloth and bring out my tomatoes. It should take me a good part of the day, but thats ok. I hope yesterdays rain filled my rain barrel or I'll have to bring water out there. Its finally starting to feel like spring!
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Happy Friday! I'm so happy this week is over with. I tried to make it the best I could, but just some weeks are meant to go away, and this was one of them. Things are getting back on track, I think what messed with me the most was that my social battery drained to -1000 because my friend's cousin talk so, so, so, much, and she's nice and all but my brain likes silence, with her talking during the day and snoring at night everything was at a terrible imbalance for me. I am only working part of the day today and I get to have fun the rest of the afternoon :) Today is a good day to get my porch cleaned and my hammock chair out so I can sit and bask in the beauty of my soon to be garden! I also have to start getting ready to plant herbs this year :D May 10th is the plant sale at my local library, and I have a few lilies that popped up and a columbine that I'm going to donate. I'm super excited about not having daylilies to offer (because omg i have so much extra of those I may have to pull up and dispose of D:)

@Shawchert you can never have too many Day lillies !! :D

They flower no matter where you put them. I have the big orange day lillies (amongst a number of others which are showy hybrids) and the orange "ditch lillies" multiply too fast so, I transplanted some to my ditch. The ditch is hard to keep clean so that solves my problem !! :D

I sadly have more ditch lilies than anything. I do have some beautiful yellows that don't spread and i'm so thankful for that but my ditch, even though they are pretty... also multiply so very fast D:

Shawchert, I sympathize with you! My husband's niece never shuts up. She is completely self-centered and silly to boot. The only time she isn't talking is when she is eating. When she invites herself to visit, I do a lot of cooking!
Today it isn't raining, so we can do some outside things. Husband is building a new trellis for the passion vine (photos to come) and I'm harvesting herbs to dry or freeze. Cat is on the patio, supervising and making sure everything is done to her liking.
Hope you all have a quiet and productive day!
