This reminds me of something that happened decades ago. Our daughter is a Great Ormond Street trained career specialist nurse. Early in her training, whilst still in her teens, she did a couple of weeks in the A & E department of another hospital. An RTA victim came in and there was a situation like in the cartoon, with several young doctors surrounding the patient discussing what they should do. She said she pushed past them, saying, "How about if we get him breathing first?"
