It is time to plant the first group— these toms are the ones that will hopefully offer some resistance to Fulvia fulva, or as we call it, bladvlekkenziekte. Also there are some plants that belong outside because sometimes Phytophthora can come into the glass house. Well, there they are, with an exaggerated labeling system. The next group will be outside ones in our garden and then in the patch over at the neighbour’s.
The last of the toms are itching to go into the ground. Now the outside candidates must go in. The first six are on our garden next to the sloot: Ten there are eight across the sidewalk at the neighour’s: Four more went to our mate, in the city and the last two went to another gardener up the way from us. They have instructions. Let the experiment begin. Day before yesterday we removed suckers and the lowest leaves from all plants.

Good news about the tom blooms. I have blooms inside and out…but not many yet. I have had them for a while now, but that has to do with the way I start mine.
Lookin good. This Tom growing in the glass house is interesting to follow. I’m sure when harvest times comes round you will have plenty of Tom’s . And as I recall many other types of produce to harvest after all the hard work planning and attention in your garden it is well worth the time .
