I waited for my friend to come work on the mower. He did not get here, not sure why. But it did turn drippy around lunch time. I was expecting him earlier.

Then I went to print a document, and my new printer is dead. I checked the cord at the back; I unplugged/replugged several times; tried other outlets... nothing. Been waiting on a call back from the company. No returned call yet. (9:30 pm CDT, left them message to call back about noon...the robots are useless.) I was looking for my receipt, have not found it yet, but if my printer could print, I could print one online... The insurance wants a copy of the receipt, of course. I took a picture of it, so not sure how that will help or not help. (Maybe I can email it?)

I did clean up after my dogs, and take care of pets... and other things not related to my garden.

Otherwise, I did not do much today... I hope you all had a blessed day.

I still haven't done anything yet :( I'm anxiously awaiting thinning out some of my perennials and donating them to the plant sale this weekend.

My big plans are to rake the leaves up and Mulch as soon as I can, it seems there is little chance of frost, though it has been getting down into the 40's at night but hasn't dipped lower than that and I hope it won't. I haven't mulched in the last 2 years so it a good time to get some fresh stuff down, it's going to take so much mulch D: I need to see if I can get some dumped on a tarp in my driveway or something but I am not sure how much I'll need :/ Then there is the dandelion invasion (i love them don't get me wrong, but they don't need to be in with my daffodils and iris's lol) I have to deal with. and the grass is getting out of hand too... ugh I wish I can just replace all of my grass right here right now. :( but I have to do it in sections because I'm kind of not wealthy.

I also have plans of moving my vegetable garden around and transplanting my oregano from my back yard to my herb garden up front, so that will take a bit of time, I really need one of those standup vegetable gardens, since most of them are always annual and I would have less bending down and I can cover them up for the autumn. I'll have to devise a way to figure it out without spending an arm and a leg. I wish I knew a woodworker who liked me enough to give me a discount lol!

Nothing much today in the garden, just watered the 25 blueberries in pots and fed the birds.

I've nearly completed my order for the spring bulbs that will come in the autumn.

I did some deadheading, took some cuttings from my jasmine plant. It was difficult finding stems without flowers on.!! I did find seven in all and potted them up with about 45% perlite and the rest being spent compost from plants that I repotted this morning. The rest of the afternoon I will be carrying on repotting as many houseplants as I can before it gets too hot and muggy to work outside. Right now I'm on lunch break. :)

Not much today. A few domestic chores.
But I did give my woodwork a second coat of paint.

Got to say how pleased I am with this azalea I bought for £18 in B&Q a couple of months back, it's really thriving.
It might get "promoted" to a better spot in the back garden, in the autumn.
At the moment, I only see it as I go in or out of the door.

@Anniekay, I was wondering the same thing about strawberry and broccoli pudding.... ? @Zigs I don't think I want broccoli in my strawberry pudding... ;)

I contacted hp about my printer again twice today.... still waiting as of 10:30 pm local time.

My friend did work on the mowers today, and they worked before he left. They are down again, so I did not get much done. :(

I did however, put my tomato plants and peppers in ground in my garden. I have two rows of tomatoes, one each of Better Boy and Arkansas Traveler. I have a row of bell peppers also. Maybe I can get my scarlet runner beans and some yard long beans planted on sunday, and some cucumber seeds too. It looks like it will storm again overnight...

I keep finding black walnut and maple and other tree seedlings all over the place. I keep pulling them up. Other tree seedlings appear also. My pecan trees have no signs of life, neither do the new persimmon trees. The witch hazel looks great. I need to haul that wagon full of walnuts away and toss them in the woods... The squirrels are the mischief makers planting the walnuts willy-nilly. The wind plants the other kinds of seeds. That wagon has 4 flat tires and a busted axle... Otherwise, I would have already hauled them off into the woods. Maybe I can try shoveling them into the wheelbarrow.

I did some more on the ditchwork. DS will be home before the end of the month, and hopefully we can finish that project while he is home.

The wild wisteria vines are running amok in the woods and full of blooms out there. The blooms are lovely, it is the millions of SEEDS I am concerned about. They are high up in many trees. Somebody else planted those vines before I moved here. (I did toss some seeds to get rid of them, but the vines were already everywhere.) I try to cut down all the vines I can get at...

@AAnightowl I have the same issue with the long-ago-planted Wisteria. Mine is all up in the trees and now I have a wisteria coming up near my clematis and another next to a large group of ditch lillies, not to mention creeping underground into my shade garden. Digging those out is not going to be a piece of cake !! :( Boy, I would rather have an infestation of alligators, at least I could shoot those !!

All that's getting done today is watering and tomato picking. I need a day off.

A few days ago i planted some red wild poppies, had to put stones around them because of the foxes or black birds.

I spent about an hour, thinning apples on the mini trees. I'm impressed at the fruit set this year, despite not seeing nearly as many bees.
they must have been hiding when I looked there.

Last summer I started some fig trees by air layering branches on two favorite, but unfortunately located, fig trees. I planted the best of those into permanent locations last fall. They are growing now. I didn't know what to do with my "backup plan" starts. Gave one to a neighbor. Sat the other by the driveway with a sign, "Free Italian Honey Fig Tree". It sat for two days. This am I moved it to the rural road in front of my property. It's gone now.

I had also overwintered mini dahlias that I grew last year from seeds. They all grew, which is too many. So a bunch of those plants are by the road now, too.
