Shaw— it seems so early for Hosta’s to be sending up a flower stem, but some Hosta’s over here are doing it as well. Not in my garden yet.
    It is good to see.

Sjoerd, my hosta's haven't even started growing their flower stems yet let alone buds! They are just getting in full leaves but that's it, so I was quite surprised to see these ones. I'm wondering if it is because of the variety, or even the weather. It's not been horribly warm but we've had a couple high temperatures (75-80°F) but that would have been maybe a day or two here and there lately it's been mid 40-60s D:

Shaw— well, it is difficult to say. We have had several weeks of high temps and dry winds. Who knows what Mother Nature will throw at us though.

yes that is definitely high for Western new york, the lakes tend to keep us pretty cool (Erie and Ontario) during the summer we see between mid 70s-80s and get maybe a few 90s and on the most rare of occasions probably a 100 here... but it can get HUMID x.x (also because of the lakes)

Sjoerd- we had record highs last year but also had record lows during winter as well January and february were terrible. I hadn't seen green or even brown from december until mid march D:

Shaw—It may be like you said— that it was the type of Hosta. My Hosta’s also bloom at different times.
