Gorgeous day today with lots of lovely sunshine. Made even more perfect as I didn't need anything done at the Dentist.. Long day though as we didn't get home until just now...8pm.. So resting and icing up now.
71- 89 but they said it would be only cloudy today and voila' it's thundering and rain expected soon. Looking at the radar, it looks very close to missing us.

@Logan the thunderstorm missed me yesterday afternoon. I heard thunder, saw dark clouds, my weather app said that it was raining and would rain for the next hour. Not. a. drop. !! Same deal today, afternoon showers expected. high around 89 but,...WHO KNOWS !!
Second day with about 73f forecast. Pleasant weather for gardening. But! Just up the gorge the wildfires have started. Fortunately firefighters have been able to get them contained. Two of my grandsons will be fighting these fires this year. Wonderful to see them grow into responsible people but yikes! I'll be on my knees a lot
@Anniekay we didn't get a thunderstorm but had some heavy rain at 1.30pm it lasted for about half an hour. As usual we were on the edge of it. @Columbiariver i hope that your grandsons will be ok.
@Anniekay 89! Here you go! I've experienced the summers of the south. I'll never forget one trip to NC (where my daddy was from) when we got off the plane on the tarmac. I had never experienced that kind of humidity and heat. I would surely melt if that were me today. But what a beautiful part of the country. Have you ever been to Ashville, nc? I want to go. Wishing I had done so before the recent weather events, but still would like to go some day.
