    Not all the roses are missing a “tooth”, they can also look like this:

    This is what we see as we walk doen the path to our allotment. It is beide the entrance:

    After the hard pruning they have responded quite well for me. We are chuffed to bits, and the fragrance is to die for.

    Columbia— heh, heh…no, I just called it that because there is a petal missing. It is Rosa ‘Westerland’.

    Columbia— cheers mate. I am partial to its colour, but the fragrance is a bit unusual, and I like unusual. Haha.
