Anniekay what a yummy harvest. Especially watermelons our season is to short for those . I am anxious to see how yours turn out. Beans are so fun to grow they are easygoing and don’t expect a lot. You’ll know soon enough if they are bush or climbers. :fingerscrossed:

I watered trimmed a few shrubs and cleaned the small areas in the garden where the squirrels just love to mess up. Trimmed a couple weeping elms .
I went to check the ground squirrel trap and it was gone. The size was surprising to see a 4’x4’x4” cage was literally moved from its origional spot and completely moved across to the west pasture. I suspect a bobcat moved it into a safer area next to the plants for cover while lunch was on his mind. Tracks left behind and scratch marks on the earth was his calling card.

I reset the trap in another area where the ground squirrels have left evidence of another area under siege. Huge mound's, farrows and tunnels deep enough to sprain an ankle. So hoping these Belding ground squirrels have left the area for the time being since the bobcat has been hunting in this area again. This is the second time the trap was tampered with , and the trap is not damaged, yet. :fingerscrossed:

Then finished up using the blower to clear the driveway and patios of needles. Ooo those darn needles can stop littering … already..:dizzy:

OMG those strawbs and lettuce. So yummy and lots of tasty fresh lettuce. I miss that a lot. Yummmm …Makes my mouth water . I know you enjoy all the tasty veggies every year from your garden. I grew a lot of carrots for the horses. You haven’t seen slobber til you’ve fed horses fresh lettuce , carrots and watermelon rinds.
And you need to wear a raincoat to survive the slobbery waterfall . Not from the horses … from me looking at your pics.

Nice to hear you finally had a haircut today. I thought your hair was getting a bit shaggy. Many thanks to your bride for keeping you presentable…:smt023 :sete_013:
